TO BE NOBODY

( To this world....)

To have a name but to be nameless
Possesses pain that screams so loud
From the soul
Who has a face
But is faceless to the crowd
And is silent in this world;
Silent and void of light
Because it's dark
  To forsaken shadows
Breathless to this life.

Your tears will have no meaning
Because your heart does not exist
To the minds who think you're nothing
But a failure in the midst...
And your peace is just a thought
Within a wish
Upon the trail
That travels within the story
Of your mind's
Sweet fairy-tale.

And you can't
YOU JUST CAN'T
Climb that ladder to a better life
Because you're trapped at the bottom
And to climb,
You have to fight
But to fight,
You have to stand
And you're running out of time
While judgmental eyes
Are watching
As chaos fills your mind

You're walking through the fog
Trying to see those stars that glisten,
And you cry for help to reach them
But when you're nobody--
Who will listen?

Because you're NAMELESS
And you're FACELESS
And you're BREATHLESS
Just like a shadow
And the pain of being NOBODY
Wants to hang you on the gallows..

And the world just keeps on going--
Just keeps on turning round and round
While the people keep on walking
Right on past you without a sound...

Without a single sound that offers hope--
Not a mention of a brighter day
Because they look at you
And see less than them,
And walk proudly on their way.

To them you are a tangled mess
And that's how you'll remain.
They've forgotten that it's human blood
 Flowing swiftly through your veins

Just as it flows through their own,
So what more are they than you?
If for once..
They could cry your tears...
If for once
They only knew...

To be nothing more than a tangled mess
This life cannot unfurl
Is torture to somebody's soul
That's nobody to this world.

And I with just my poet's words
Have just a poet's pen
That does not speak as just a poet
But as the nobody from within.

Through these words, I walk with you
Both of us the same
And we will pray to see the sun
As we walk through the rain.
