POETRY AND I

We've traveled with the wind of life
Through twilight nights of bliss
And to the sky on floating thoughts
To make a midnight wish.

We've talked with Peace
By quiet river;
And watched the roses bloom.
We've found the treasure of the sun...
And whispered to the moon

Secrets of so many things
Of laughs, and smiles, and tears...
The way each day
Has passed us by
Throughout these granted years.

We've traveled through the desert sand
With long and weary sighs
With prayers of just a poet's soul
And tears in human eyes.

So many times,
We've laughed with Joy
And danced in Spring-time air,
And you have understood my fears
When no one seemed to care.

We've heard the song of happiness;
And sang it faithfully
By waterfalls in Magic's mind..
By sweet and soothing sea.

We've traveled on the battlegrounds
In haunting midnight dreams
And saw the things I sometimes wish
That I had never seen.

Sometimes I think about our journey
The tears, the laughs, the glory..
Each stranger turned
Into a friend..
Each time, a different story

And I must say within my heart
Each sea we've sailed upon
Has brought me hope
That brought me closer
To the light of the risen sun.
